For the last couple of years, we’ve provided an online store for our custom embroidered wearables and accessories.  We’ve learned a lot in that time.  First, our customers are looking for small quantities of custom work in specific colours.  Specialization doesn’t work well in a volume based web store.  Second, every order seemed to require a conversation or communication to make the order correct.  Third, we were embarrassed by delays in getting orders out due to technology issues with the notification to us of new orders and some customer annoying payment challenges.  Web stores can work, but not for us.
